NHL Veteran Signs A One-Year Contract With The Nottingham Panthers
Defenseman Simon Despres, a seasoned NHL veteran, is set to join the Nottingham Panthers in the UK, signing a one-year deal with the EIHL team.
The 32-year-old player, known for his stints with the Pittsburgh Penguins, brings a wealth of experience to the Panthers' blue line. Despres, drafted 30th overall in 2009, played 193 NHL games from 2011 to 2017, accumulating six goals and 43 points.
His recent performance with Villacher SV in the ICEHL showcases his continued prowess, contributing three goals and 15 points in 43 games last season. The Nottingham Panthers aim to benefit from Despres' skill and leadership during the upcoming campaign.
