NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman Threatens The New Owner Of The Ottawa Senators
Owning the Ottawa Senators hasn't been a walk in the park for Michael Andlauer since he took the reins earlier this season. In a whirlwind month, he faced a player suspension, lost a draft pick, fired the GM, and saw the team's performance dip below expectations.
During a recent press conference, Andlauer, reflecting on the situation, candidly remarked,
"I don't know why I'm inheriting this."
This sentiment caught the attention of NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, who responded by suggesting that Andlauer needs to come to terms with the reality of the Senators' situation.
Bettman's comment,
"Maybe on reflection, Michael will be, if he's not already, more comfortable with the way things were handled,"
echoes an authoritative tone, reminding Andlauer of the league's established order and perhaps indicating that dissent isn't easily tolerated in NHL circles.
