Former top prospect inks minor league deal to keep dream alive

24 year old, Maxine Comtois has found a place to play hockey for this season but it won't be in the NHL.

The Quebec native spent the last four seasons playing with the Anaheim Ducks. Comtois was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Ducks and was released as a free agent. He signed a PTO contract with the Vegas Golden Knights but didn't impress enough during the preseason and was released.

On Sunday, it was announced that Maxime Comtois has agreed to terms on a contract with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League for the 2023-24 season.

After the leading the Ducks in scoring during the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season with 33 points in 55 games, Comtois' game, has taken a step back in the last two seasons, putting up up 16 and 19 points respectively.
