In the NHL it's very common for a big hit or huge play to galvanize a team. Usually players like to celebrate each other's successes with a pat on the back. However, for some teams a big hit just isn't the sort of thing that gets players excited. That appears to be the case for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Trevor Moore was once considered a top prospect for the Maple Leafs, before being dealt as a part of the package to acquire Jack Campbell and Kyle Clifford. During his time with the Leafs Moore didn't have many memorable moments, but one moment that always sticks out is a big hit Moore had on Zdeno Chara. The hit surprised Chara and knocked the big man off his feet.

As Moore skated back to the bench excited he expected a similar reaction from his teammates. However on a recent podcast appearance Moore spoke about this hit and how little his teammates reacted to this moment.

Trevor Moore was on the Empty Netters podcast.

They recalled his big hit on Chara in the playoffs for the Leafs.

Trevor Moore said he went back to the bench and no one said a word to him.

While you'd usually expect teammates to be on their feet for this type of play, apparently that's not how the Maple Leafs operate. Maybe that explains why the team has had such little success recently.
