Just before his departure in Toronto, Kyle Dubas had informed the local media that he would not accept a position anywhere other than Toronto. However, once he was let go by President Brendan Shanahan, Dubas wasted no time in accepting a job as President of Hockey Ops in Pittsburgh.

Dubas had a few players and off-ice personnel join him in Pittsburgh so far, including the likes of Jason Spezza and Noel Acciari. Now, according to a report from TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston, there's another former Leafs employee headed to the Pens as well.

According to Johnston, Dubas has hired Jon Elkin as the Director of Goaltending in Pittsburgh. Elkin was most recently the head of Goaltending Evaluation and Development for the Maple Leafs.

There were rumours circulating earlier this offseason that Dubas could perhaps attempt to lure Leafs AGM Brandon Pridham and Head of Scouting Wes Clark out of Toronto this summer. Neither of those moves have occurred and appear unlikely at this point. It seems as though the remaining staff in Toronto appear to appreciate what Brad Treliving, the team's new GM, brings to the table.
