Another insider, Pierre LeBrun, echoed this sentiment, expressing definite interest and predicting Perry's signing with a team before March 8th.
LeBrun acknowledged the ongoing investigation into the incident, recognizing potential challenges in uncovering the full story due to privacy concerns. However, he emphasized that teams are carefully weighing their options.
Addressing concerns about potential media backlash, Johnson played down the idea, suggesting that teams like the Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, or Vancouver Canucks would likely not hesitate to extend a contract to Perry.

At 38 years old, Perry recently met with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, who granted him permission to sign with any team.
