BREAKING: M. Rielly Has Been Placed On Waviers
Breaking news from the Florida Panthers as defenseman Mike Reilly finds himself on waivers, revealed today by Chris Johnston. Reilly, who has seen minimal ice time this season, played just two games for the Panthers before this decision.
Head Coach Paul Maurice commented on Reilly's absence from practice today, stating,
"It will be announced later today,"
dismissing injury concerns.
Despite a standout performance in the 2021-22 season with the Boston Bruins, where he played 70 games and recorded 4 goals and 13 assists, Reilly has struggled to secure a consistent spot on an NHL roster.
His playing time has dwindled, with only 12 NHL games since his peak year10 with the Bruins last season and 2 with the Panthers in the current season.
