40 players placed on waivers including former starting goalie

Today was the final day for teams to put players on waivers for the beginning of next season. With the league deadline set for 5 pm on Tuesday, teams in need of salary cap space have made some of their final moves.

On Sunday, a total of 40 players have been placed on waivers according to TSN's Chris Johnston. Let's take a look at the full list.

If any of the players above go unclaimed on Sunday afternoon, they'll be assigned to their respective teams American Hockey League affiliate.
