The worst has officially been confirmed for star forward Jack Eichel and the Vegas Golden Knights
Tragic news surrounds the Vegas Golden Knights as reports from Jesse Granger of The Athletic suggest the team has placed Jack Eichel on injured reserve.
Although the exact injury remains undisclosed, Eichel has not played since January 11th against the Boston Bruins.
The move to injured reserve means he could return on January 20th against the Pittsburgh Penguins, missing only three games.
Eichel, leading Vegas in scoring with 19 goals and 44 points in 43 games, now joins a growing list of Golden Knights players dealing with injuries. Adin Hill, William Karlsson, William Carrier, and Shea Theodore are also on the team's injured reserve.
Despite a strong start with an 11-0-1 record, Vegas holds a still respectable 24-14-5 record on the season.
