New York Rangers Rookie Faces Off In Massive Tilt During His Debut
Today, a rookie from the New York Rangers had quite the debut in the NHL. Making his first appearance during an outdoor game, he wasted no time in making his presence felt by challenging a seasoned enforcer to a fight.
Rookie Matt Rempe, standing at an impressive 6 feet 8 inches, didn't shy away from the challenge as he dropped the gloves with Islanders' veteran Matt Martin right off the bat.
"Matt Rempe makes NHL debut by dropping the gloves, not a big deal."
Both players landed some solid punches before the officials intervened to break up the fight. It was an electrifying start to what has been an intense game, with the Islanders currently leading 4-2 in the second period.
