This year, the Edmonton Oilers have faced a concerning trend with fan altercations during their playoff home games, with incidents unfolding at the outdoor watch party on both occasions.

In footage captured, tensions escalated among a group of younger fans, leading to punches being thrown between two individuals, one sporting a Hyman jersey and the other in a brown hoodie. While the altercation remained contained, it was a disappointing sight for other attendees, who intervened to defuse the situation.

Similar incidents have marred previous games, with a fight breaking out during game one in the outdoor party area known as the Moss Pit. While fan disputes aren't new to Edmonton, they certainly detract from the enjoyment of the game for the majority of spectators who attend to support the Oilers and appreciate the game.

Following a challenging 5-4 loss at home, frustration lingered among fans exiting Rogers Place. As the series shifts to Los Angeles tied at 1-1, there's hope that the focus will return to the game itself, rather than disturbances in the crowd.
