Brandon Duhaime Drops Will Lockwood With A One Punch Knockout
During recent matchup between the Minnesota Wild and Florida Panthers took an intense turn as Brandon Duhaime of the Wild clashed with the Panthers' Will Lockwood. In an unfortunate turn for Lockwood, he found himself on the receiving end of a barrage of punches from Duhaime, culminating in a powerful one that sent him to the ice.
The scuffle ignited when Duhaime took exception to a hit from Lockwood along the boards as he went for the puck. Without hesitation, Duhaime promptly issued a challenge, which Lockwood accepted, though he might be second-guessing that decision now. Duhaime, standing two inches taller and approximately 25 lbs heavier, clearly held the upper hand.
While it seemed Lockwood may have landed a punch or two, Duhaime quickly asserted control, delivering a series of right hands, including a solid one that connected squarely with Lockwood's chin.
Both players received the standard five-minute penalty for fighting, with no additional penalties added to the mix.
