27 draft prospects have just become free agents: full list

Every August 15th, NHL signing rights expire for teams with draft prospects who have not yet been given entry-level deals and are also done with their college careers.
This can be an anxiety-inducing time for the teams affected. However, 2024 has proven to be a special year as a whopping 27 players have become free agents. One of the most prominent is Rhett Pitlick who is with the Montreal Canadiens. You can check out the full list of prospects, down below.

It should be noted that all of these players can still sign with the teams that drafted them. However, there is always a chance for other teams to swoop in and sweep one of these future stars off of their feet.
