NHL fans can be extremely picky when it comes to their jerseys, and now, the Washington Capitals are learning the hard way thanks to something as simple as a jersey patch.

The team just revealed that for all away games this year, their patch sponsor will be the app TikTok. This is an incredibly popular app that drives a lot of pop culture trends. However, some have a very negative view of the app due to its alleged ties to the Chinese government.
Despite the patch blending in nicely with the Capitals uniform, fans were still very much outraged with what they were seeing. Some of them believe it will compromise the photos of Alexander Ovechkin when he breaks Wayne Gretzky's scoring record.
In the tweets below, you can see what Capitals fans were saying. Overall, it seems like a lot of complaining for absolutely nothing. This will not affect anyone's life in any real or tangible way. But when you are anonymous online, chirping about things that don't matter is ultimately encouraged.
Do you think the Washington Capitals jersey patch is that bad? Let us know in the poll down below and stay tuned to Hockey Unplugged for the latest news and updates from around the hockey world.
