21-year-old DekHockey goalie tragically dies during game

A horrible tragedy has struck the hockey community as a young DekHockey goaltender named Zachary Bourassa has passed away at the age of 21.
According to Radio-Canada, the young goalie suffered a cardiac arrest in the middle of a game. The goaltender told the referee that he needed some help before collapsing into his arms.
"According to our information, early in the game, the young goalie felt unwell and called for help before collapsing into the arms of one of the officials. According to information gathered from his family by Radio-Canada journalist Kassandra Lebel, he suffered cardiac arrest."
As soon as it happened, a nurse and a respiratory therapist burst onto the scene to offer some help. However, despite chest compressions and a heroic effort, Bourassa passed away. This is a truly tragic incident, and we cannot imagine how the players in the match must be feeling.
"Sometimes, we hear stories where a death could have been avoided if certain actions had been taken earlier. This was the complete opposite. If he could have been saved, he would have been. The people present acted like true heroes."
We commend all of those who attempted to save Bourassa's life. You are all true heroes and your efforts will not be forgotten.
Our heart is with the family of Bourassa during this incredibly difficult time. We cannot imagine what they must be going through right now. We hope everyone is able to find peace and healing.
