Pierre Luc-Dubois is a player who has notoriously underperformed throughout his career, despite having huge expectations placed on him.

He has never hit over 30 goals in his career. Additionally, there have been all sorts of rumblings about his motivation and his attitude. So far, it has yet to work out for Dubois as he has already played for three teams in eight seasons. Between the Columbus Blue Jackets, Winnipeg Jets, and even the Los Angeles Kings, Dubois has been a disappointment.
In fact, last season with the Kings, Dubois had a career-worst 40 points and 16 goals. These numbers are not acceptable. However, Dubois will now have a fresh start with the Washington Capitals. Unfortunately, he continues to make ridiculous excuses for his performance.

In a new interview with La Presse, Dubois said he had issues in Los Angeles because he wasn't receiving clear direction. It's an outrageous claim to make, considering he has had the same issue with every team he has played for.
"I get confused when there are grey areas. I ask myself too many questions. It's something I've been working on since I was young. And, from my very first conversations with the team, I didn't really know what was expected of me. I didn't know where I fit in. You can't play well when you're asking yourself too many questions."
