Soucy's cross-check on McDavid is officially being reviewed by the NHL
According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman the NHL Department Of Player Safety will indeed be taking a closer look at Soucy and will have a hearing for the cross-check he delivered to Connor McDavid's face at the end of game three.
Sounds like there will be a hearing for Carson Soucy out of the end-of-game scrum in Edmonton last night The situation had happened at the end of the game, after the final horn had gone off, so many believe that this is a significant contributing factor in why Carson Soucy is now facing further disciplinary action.
A cross-check delivered from Vancouver Canucks defenseman Nikita Zadorov at almost the exact same moment is what appears to have caused the cross-check from Soucy to strike McDavid in the face.
However it seems the Department of Player Safety strongly feels that further discipline is needed in this case.
