Ryan Reaves has caught quite a bit of flack over the last week or so because he refused to fight both Arber Xhekaj and Matt Rempe of the New York Rangers.

Overall, Reaves was brought to the Toronto Maple Leafs because he is an enforcer who can fight. He was meant to bring toughness to the lineup. However, he has struggled to get into games for the Leafs, and he has not been particularly impressive throughout the year. Fans are starting to get a bit worried, and with the Rempe situation, there is no doubt that the calls for a trade or a benching have only grown louder.

Well, according to reporter Luke Fox, Reaves came out and said that he and Rempe have an understanding. Based on what happened last game, it is expected that Reaves and Rempe will drop the gloves next match. However, many fans are not too convinced.

Recently, former Leafs tough guy Jay Rosehill spoke on Reaves and his recent issues. The comments were harsh but pretty necessary. At the end of the day, if Reaves isn't going to fight, what purpose does he serve?

" The Reavo-Rempe man, I've had some info that Rempe was absolutely coming after Reavo and coming to get that thing underway. I thought it was going to happen for sure and I found out afterwards that Rempe said 'I've asked him several times and he acted like I didn't exist and wouldn't even make eye contact', and you saw that with Wi-Fi as well, Game 1."
