Last night, Pacioretty got to play his very first game with the team. It was a preseason tilt against the Ottawa Senators, although the Maple Leafs ultimately lost the game by a score of 6-5. Regardless, it was a successful game for the players who were trying to make an impression. Of course, Pacioretty just so happened to be one of those guys.
As you can see in the highlights below, Pacioretty came through with a whopping two goals in his game. While some of the goals were weak against the Senators goaltender, they still count all the same. Leafs fans were more than impressed with how Pacioretty played, and this bodes well for his future with the club.
In fact, Elliotte Friedman dropped a bombshell of sorts as it pertains to Pacioretty and his potential career with the Leafs.
Coming off of numerous injuries, there were concerns about Pacioretty's fitness and whether or not he would be good to go. However, he has shut down those concerns fairly quickly.
