Craig Berube is just a few games into his tenure with the Toronto Maple Leafs although it is clear that he has already made a significant impact with the team.

The team is off to a hot start. Sure, they may have lost the season opener against the Montreal Canadiens, but they got goalie'd. They had 47 shots in that tilt and were able to show the league that there is a lot of talent on their roster. Having said all of that, Berube has proven to be someone who is not going to sit around and let his team get lazy.

While up 5-2 against the Los Angeles Kings, Berube called a timeout. Why? Well, the team had given up two unanswered goals and he was fed up with how the team was lollygagging around. Today, Berube stopped practice for similar reasons and you can see that below.

"We don't want to get complacent, right? That's the biggest thing. Staying sharp," Berube explained. "I stopped it a couple of times. Just execution for me, you know, being sharp and executing.

"It sort of goes back to the last game and 5-0," he continued. "You take your foot off the gas a little bit. That's where we got to get. We don't want to do that."

It will be interesting to see how this new mentality applies to the postseason. No matter what, it seems like Leafs fans have a good reason to cheer, and only time will tell whether or not a Cup comes with that.
