Timothy Liljegren could be on his way to the NHL's new favorite franchise

There have been all kinds of trade rumors as of late. Overall, the Leafs are trying to get Liljegren traded as soon as possible. At the end of the day, he simply does not align with the team's vision anymore. He has struggled mightily to get into the Leafs lineup and it doesn't really feel like there is space for him at this juncture.

Having said that, there are teams around the league that could use him. One of those teams is none other than the Utah Hockey Club. They are currently going through a grim scenario with defenseman Sean Durzi, who is going to be out for five months. Liljegren could be the perfect player to trade for.

It can be difficult to get trades done at this point in the season. Teams are focused on trying to get through the first few stretches of games. Other teams just want to take a wait-and-see approach to make sure they have the right roster for their opponents. Either way, Liljegren will be sought after.

As for the Leafs' start to the season, they have looked pretty good. They are a well-rounded team with plenty of pieces. Whether or not they get over the hump in the playoffs, still remains to be seen.
