The Toronto Maple Leafs have decided to make some strategic changes to realign their season, shaking up both their roster and lineup in a bid to find success.

The first move in this adjustment involves forward Nicholas Robertson receiving a call-up from the Toronto Marlies. In a corresponding move, forward Pontus Holmberg has been sent down.

Nicholas Robertson has shown promise in the American Hockey League this season, amassing an impressive 11 points (5 goals and 6 assists) in just 9 games with the Toronto Marlies. The Leafs are hoping to inject more productivity into their bottom 6 forwards, making the call-up of Robertson a clear decision with the aim of bolstering the team's performance.

Robertson will take his place on the third line alongside recently acquired forward Max Domi. Head coach Sheldon Keefe anticipates that the duo will develop on-ice chemistry.

However, the lineup adjustments don't stop there. Another noteworthy change sees Simon Benoit making his Maple Leafs debut. Coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed that Benoit will replace defenseman Jake McCabe in the lineup for the upcoming game. These strategic modifications reflect the team's commitment to turning their season around.
