Last week, the St. Louis Blues hit Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway with an offer sheet that shook up the Edmonton Oilers and their plans for the summer.

It was subsequently reported that if the Oilers had to choose, they would be keeping Holloway over Broberg. However, they have been in the midst of coming up with ways to keep both on the roster. For instance, last night, the team was able to trade Cody Ceci to the San Jose Sharks for Ty Emberson. This was a massive move and it has certainly given the team some extra flexibility.
Regardless of this move, time is running out on the Oilers right now. In fact, the St. Louis Blues are reminding them about this on Twitter. Below, you can see that the Blues responded to themselves on Twitter, saying the Oilers have just one day to make a decision on their young players.
One could take this as both an antagonistic and a disrespectful move. Essentially, the Blues want to expedite the progress. However, Stan Bowman is staying steady right now. He is going to take every second he needs to make the right decision. Having said that, do not be surprised if the Oilers make another move before the end of today. Until then, fans are just going to have to sit tight and trust the process.
