Sidney Crosby, the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins, keeps impressing everyone as he gets older. Tonight, in a crazy game against the Detroit Red Wings, where the score ended up being 6-5 in overtime, Crosby reached another big milestone in his career.
When Erik Karlsson scored the winning goal in overtime, Crosby got an assist, making it his 1,000th career assist.
The Penguins were not doing so well in the standings before, but thanks to Crosby's great play, they're now in a good position for the playoffs. In their last 10 games, they've been unbeaten in regulation, winning seven and tying three.
