Linus Ullmark made waves this summer when the Boston Bruins traded the star goaltender to the Ottawa Senators.

As it stands, Ullmark is in need of a contract extension, and many have been wondering whether or not he would want to stay in Ottawa beyond this upcoming season. Well, the latest report from Shawn Simpson seems to indicate that Ullmark is very much in Ottawa for the long-haul.

In the tweet below, Simpson claims that Ullmark has supposedly purchased a home in Ottawa. Not just a condo, but a house. This indicates that he wants to put down roots in the city. If this report is accurate, Simpson believes we could hear about a contract extension sooner rather than later.

Ullmark has spent his NHL career with the Buffalo Sabres and the Boston Bruins. However, he found much of his success with the Bruins as Jeremy Swayman's goaltending partner. Due to the salary cap, Ullmark has found himself in Ottaway, and it will be interesting to see how he fares.

Throughout the course of his career, Ullmark has a record of 138-73-23 with a goals-against average of 2.51 and a save percentage of 0.919. He also has eight shutouts to bring his stats together. Needless to say, Ottawa now has a solid number one option.
