Filip Gustavsson did the unthinkable yesterday while notching a win for the Minnesota Wild against their division rival, the St. Louis Blues.

Gustavsson's team was up 3-1 when the Blues pulled their goalie. Gustavsson received a slapshot and gloved it down before playing the puck. He shot it all the way down the ice aiming for the net. In the end, he actually scored, much to the delight of his teammates. It was an impressive moment and he is only the 15th goalie to ever do this.

Fans on Twitter were quick to look up all of the different players that have yet to score this year. Of course, this was used as a way to dunk on some of the best players around the league. For instance, it was noted that both Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews have yet to score this season. That is pretty embarrassing when you think about it.

Either way, Gustavsson must be ecstatic about his play. He had 27 saves on 28 shots in the win, and he gets a goal. That is something you really do not see every day. Goalie goals are rare but they do seem to be more frequent over these past few years. Either way, we wish Gustavsson a hearty congratulations.

Only time will tell who the next goalie to score will be. Goaltenders across the league are getting a lot better at playing the puck. This means goalie goals will only become less rare as time marches forward.
