Connor McDavid is the best hockey player in the entire world and he is absolutely instrumental to the overall success of the Edmonton Oilers.

With that being said, you can imagine that fans are very sensitive when it comes to the health of McDavid. They want him to remain healthy at all times, as that will help ensure the team's success. However, yesterday, during an informal skate, McDavid had an injury scare. This news comes courtesy of reporter Jason Gregor.

As Gregor explains, McDavid was tripped up by Victor Arvidsson. When that happened, McDavid was down for a bit and it sucked the air out of the room. However, eventually, cooler heads did prevail and McDavid appeared to be doing well. Gregor notes that McDavid was walking it off and looks to be at 100 percent.

"[McDavid] looked fine after. Skated off and sat on bench. Then when they left he walked off and looked fine. Which is why I said just a scare. It went really quiet for a short period."

Ultimately, this is a scary situation given just how important McDavid is to the Oilers roster. They cannot afford to have him be injured heading into this season. Evander Kane is currently out, and there is no telling when he may be back. We are thankful that McDavid is doing just fine.
