The Columbus Blue Jackets are going to great lengths to make sure their players get the help that they need. As we reported, Grief counselors are being offered to every single player during this difficult time. It is the least the team can do, although regardless, many fans are applauding the team's decision.
Yesterday, the Blue Jackets took to their YouTube page and delivered an incredible tribute to Johnny Hockey. In this tribute, you hear the voice of Gaudreau's father, who speaks on just how amazing Johnny was as a son and as a hockey player. We also get to hear from Johnny himself in archival footage.
In this footage, we get to see Johnny's childhood home in Salem, New Jersey. This tribute is heartwrenching and we're sure it is tough to watch for those who knew him the best.
Our heart goes out to the Gaudreau family during this terrible time. We wish them peace and healing as they go on with their journey. We hope they are able to get help from the community as they continue to mourn.
Let us know what you think of this new tribute, in the poll down below. Additionally, stay tuned to Hockey Unplugged for the latest news and updates from around the hockey world. We will continue to keep you informed on your favorite players and teams.
