Jim Montgomery issues statement regarding Sam Bennett ahead of game 4
Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery delivered a crucial update to fans Sunday morning, revealing that team captain Brad Marchand will sit out Game 4 against the Florida Panthers due to an upper-body injury sustained from a hard hit by Sam Bennett in Game 3.
Commenting on the hit, Montgomery stated,
"I don't think I classified it as dirty. I just thought it was outside the lines... he knew what he was doing."
Marchand's absence presents a significant challenge for the Bruins as they aim to level the series. With the captain sidelined, the team looks to other players to step up in his absence.
The Bruins-Panthers showdown kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET at TD Garden, with comprehensive pregame coverage by NESN starting at 5:30 p.m. and postgame analysis immediately following.
This pivotal clash will test Boston's resilience and adaptability without one of their key contributors.
