Heading into game four of their Stanley Cup Playoffs showdown against the Florida Panthers, the Boston Bruins have given an update on captain Brad Marchand's status.
Marchand exited game three prematurely following an altercation with the Panthers' Sam Bennett, sparking speculation, particularly about a possible concussion.
While initially labeled day-to-day, Marchand's absence for game four has now been confirmed by Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery.
Per Montgomery, #NHLBruins Brad Marchand is out tonight.
With the Bruins facing an uphill battle in the series, currently trailing 2-1, they'll have to rally without their captain. It's a call for every player to step up and perform collectively as they gear up for tonight's matchup against the Panthers at 6:30.
