Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins are currently engaged in contract talks that have been a huge concern to Bruins fans.

Swayman is avoiding arbitration and he knows he is owed a lot of money. He is seen as the best goalie in the world which could net him over $9 million per year. However, the Bruins only have $8.6 million in cap space which means trade might have to get made. Regardless, according to masslivesports, Swayman is not worried.

"There's a lot of confidence (a deal will be reached). And I say that because I've treated it like business as usual this year. I've been at Warrior, I've been working out with our guys, our staff, our players and I know that there's something special building in this locker room this year. And I can't be more excited about that."

As for insider Elliotte Friedman, his latest "32 Thoughts" offered a concerning update on Swayman and the Bruins. Simply put, it is going to take a while before a real deal actually gets done here.

"The last I heard, they weren't close. I think this has been a bit of a challenging negotiation, but they've still got time, and we'll see how this sorts out.»
