Bruins broadcaster Jack Edwards officially announces his retirement
After years of electrifying Bruins broadcasts, Jack Edwards, the iconic voice of the Boston Bruins, is hanging up his microphone.
Known for his vibrant and heartfelt commentary, Jack has become a cherished part of Bruins lore, delighting fans with his narratives of the team's most exciting moments on NESN.
Jack Edwards, the longtime infamous #NHLBruins broadcaster, will be retiring at the conclusion of the season.
A statement from Jack Edwards:
W/ "gratefulness" & "a heavy heart" Jack Edwards announces his retirement from broadcasting at the end of this season: "I am no longer able to attain the standards I set for myself, to honor the fans, the players, the Bruins organization and NESN with the best they all deserve.»
Reacting to the news of his retirement, the Bruins released a touching statement thanking Jack for his significant contributions to the franchise. «Jack, you've been the voice of a special time in Bruins hockey,» the statement read. They expressed their deep appreciation for the unforgettable memories he crafted and extended best wishes to him and his family for the future.
