Brad Marchand loses his mind after being plowed by linesman
In the high-octane final ten minutes of the third period between the Leafs and Bruins, a moment occurred that's bound to be a highlight reel favourite.
During a tussle near the blue line, both Pontus Holmberg and Brad Marchand received roughing penalties. But the scene-stealer was the referee accidentally knocking Marchand to the ice while trying to break up the skirmish.
The sight of Marchand sprawled on the ice, gazing up in disbelief at the referee, was both unexpected and amusing.
This incident added a humorous twist to an already tense game, marked by escalating penalties and frictions, including Bruins announcer Jack Edwards labeling the officials as cowards.
While the collision between Marchand and the referee might not smooth over any tensions, it certainly provided a memorable moment for fans and spectators.
