Jeremy Swayman and the Boston Bruins continue to be at odds with one another, and it has not bee looking good as there are now reports that a trade request is coming.

Yesterday, it got particularly bad as Cam Neely called out Swayman for not accepting an alleged $64 million deal. Eventually, Lewis Gross, the agent for Swayman, came out and said that they never received such an offer. It was a strong statement that certainly made the Bruins look even worse.
"Normally, I do not release statements or discuss negotiations through the media. However, in this case, I feel I need to defend my client. At today's press conference, $64 million was referenced. This was the first time that number was discussed in our negotiations. Prior to the press conference, no offer was made reaching that level.

We are extremely disappointed. This was not fair to Jeremy. We will take a few days to discuss where we go from here."

Now, reporter Frank Seravalli is uncovering what he says is the actual offer that the Bruins gave Swayman. Essentially, they offered eight years at $7.8 million. Meanwhile, Swayman is looking for $8.5 million. Simply put, these sides are not that far apart, however, they have made it seem like they are. Only time will tell who wins the PR war.

Do you believe the $62.4 million offer to Swayman was fair? Or do you believe the Bruins should have been offering him more?
