The Arizona Coyotes have been the laughing stock of the NHL for several seasons running, but according to the team's general manager, Bill Armstrong, it's time for the Coyotes to be taken more seriously.

Armstrong made some bold moves this summer to bring in Jason Zucker, Alex Kerfoot, Nick Bjugstad, Troy Stecher and Travis Dermott. The Yotes also re-signed Jack McBain to a two-year deal, Matias Maccelli to a three-year deal and top prospect Logan Cooley to a three-year, entry-level contract.
In a recent interview with NHL.com, Armstrong said that the Coyotes can take that next step and play meaningful games throughout the entire 2023-24 season.
"Listen, we're going to have some challenges. We're going to have some moments we're not very good, but we've got an ability now to go into the ring from the first day of training camp. Now, we can take that next step. The next step for us is trying to play meaningful games the whole year and push to see how good we can become." - Armstrong on the upcoming season in Arizona

The Coyotes are not starting off easy in training camp as they'll be traveling to Australia to play a pair of pre-season games against the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL's first games in the Southern Hemisphere. Following their trip down under, they're set to open the regular season with four straight road games against New Jersey, Long Island, New York and St. Louis.
