NHL arena requires over 60 million dollars in repairs and upgrades

Essential upgrades like the roof and cooling towers are critical for maintaining the arena's structural integrity and ensuring proper climate control. The replacement of the fire alarm system is vital for the safety of everyone in the building.

Although items like a new scoreboard might be seen as luxury upgrades, they are part of keeping the arena competitive and appealing to fans. The necessity for these updates is further emphasized by the multiple teams and events that use the facility.

It's important to note that the financial burden of these repairs will not fall entirely on the Blue Jackets. However, the urgency of these repairs cannot be understated, and they must be addressed promptly to avoid future complications.
