Macklin Celebrini is gearing up for a big summer. Not only is he expected to be the top pick at the 2024 NHL Draft, but he'll also don the maple leaf jersey for Team Canada at the 2024 World Championship of Hockey in Czechia.

NHL insider Darren Dreger today confirmed that Celebrini, despite being only 17, will showcase his talents on the international stage. His inclusion at such a young age underscores his exceptional skill level.

Macklin Celebrini is expected to join Connor Bedard and Canada for the World Championships.

With the San Jose Sharks holding a 25.5% chance, the highest among all teams, they are the front-runners in the draft lottery, eagerly hoping to secure Celebrini. Adding to the excitement, last year's number one draft pick, Connor Bedard, will also play for Canada, providing fans a glimpse of both present and future hockey stars.

Seth Jones, a seasoned NHL defenseman and Bedard's potential opponent from Team USA, noted the challenge of facing such a formidable young talent.

«If I'm playing Canada and Bedsy's on it, I'm going to play him just as hard as I play anybody else.»
