The Florida Panthers, who were the more threatening team for a significant portion of the game, lost 5-4 in overtime, so they will be feeling unlucky when they leave the rink after Game 3.

Despite down 4-2 at the end of the second frame, Florida used their prior playoff performance as motivation to come out strong in the third.

The Panthers rained shots on Shesterkin during the final 8:10 of the third. Twenty-four shot attempts were credited to Florida by the NHL. The Rangers goaltender held his ground and stopped the final several shots of the half.

It took only 5:35 into the extra frame for the game to end. Rangers forward Alex Wennberg deflected Ryan Lindgren's shot from the point past Florida's Sergei Bobrovsky.

The game finished in just 5:35 of the extra frame. Ryan Lindgren's point shot was deflected by Rangers forward Alex Wennberg past Florida goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky.

Following the goal, the Panthers bench was in a state of disarray as they considered all available options to decide whether to challenge the goal.

While the Panthers debated whether to challenge or not, Insider Elliotte Friedman posted on social media.
