Adam Henrique gets away with dangerous hit from behind on Oliver Ekman-Larsson
If you didn't think the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers were eager to start game one of the Stanley Cup final, you would have to live under a rock. So far, the first game hasn't disappointed.
Adam Henrique of the Oilers, who is playing in his second Stanley Cup final and his first since the beginning of his career, took a shot to the back of Panthers player Oliver Ekman-Larsson, leaving him bloodied and needing to leave the rink for repairs.
Even though OEL left the game for a brief while and came back, the play that left him bleeding shows that anything can happen in the Stanley Cup final and you need constantly be on the lookout. Even though the play's lack of a call should be questioned, referees already have a challenging job making sure each team plays the straight and narrow.
Once more, game one is still very early, but if the first 10 minutes of this series are any guide, fans are in for an exceptional Stanley Cup final.
