Charges That Milan Lucic Is Facing Have Been Released
Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic is set to make an appearance in Boston Municipal Court on Monday.
Where he faces a single count of assault and battery on a family or household member, classified as a misdemeanor, as confirmed by the Suffolk district attorney's office on Sunday.
Lucic's arrest follows an alleged domestic incident late Friday evening or early Saturday morning, leading to his decision to take an indefinite leave of absence from the Boston Bruins. With his career in the National Hockey League now under speculation, this development raises questions about the impact on Lucic's future.
In the summer's free agency opening, Lucic signed a one-year deal with the Bruins, carrying a $1 million per season cap hit. Hindered by injuries, Lucic has played only four games this season, registering a -2 plus-minus rating with no goals and two assists. The legal situation adds an additional layer of uncertainty to Lucic's NHL career.
