New Jersey Devils star forward, Jack Hughes playing against the Washington Capitals

The New Jersey Devils will be missing their star forward, Jack Hughes, for the next few weeks.

On Tuesday, Devils head coach Lindy Ruff informed reporters that Hughes would be out week-to-week due to an upper-body injury.
Jack Hughes' absence is considered a matter of weeks, not months, says #NJDevils Lindy Ruff.

The team is aware he will miss some time, and Jack will be evaluated week to week to see how he progresses.
Hughes sustained the injury during a game against the Chicago Blackhawks on January 5th. In the late stages of the third period, Hughes lost possession of the puck in the Blackhawks zone, caught an edge, and fell to the ice. He left the game and did not return.
The 22-year-old had been having a solid season, tallying 45 points (15 goals, 30 assists) in 32 games for a Devils team that many had anticipated would perform better than they have thus far in the season.
