Carter Hart Leaves Flyers Game After Sustaining Concerning Injury
The Philadelphia Flyers find themselves in an unfortunate situation tonight. Starting goalie Carter Hart had to exit the game at Wells Fargo Center against the Buffalo Sabres due to a "mid-body" injury, and he won't be returning for the rest of the evening.
The moment leading to Hart's injury looked like this: https://x.com/HockeyDaily365/status/1719857336452350363?s=20
Hart initially tried to tough it out, but the pain proved too much to bear. Now, it's backup Samuel Ersson guarding the net for the Flyers.
Hart had a decent run this season, holding a 4-3-0 record with a 2.30 goals against average, a .921 save percentage, and even notching a shutout along the way. It's an unfortunate turn of events for the Flyers, who were surely hoping for a different outcome tonight.
