Hurricanes Vs. Rangers game 3 gets heated as Vesey & Kotkaniemi fight
Tempers flared in Game 3 of the second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series between the New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes, resulting in a major scuffle that will surely be a talking point as the series progresses.
The incident kicked off when Hurricanes defenseman Dmitry Orlov threw a punch during a heated exchange.
This melee saw Rangers' Jimmy Vesey and Hurricanes' Jesperi Kotkaniemi throw down the gloves amidst the chaos.
By the time the dust settled, four players found themselves in the penalty box, though the game continued at full strength with both teams remaining five-on-five.
"Vesey and [Barclay] Goodrow get minors for #NYR, same for Orlov and Kotkaniemi. Stays 5v5"
With the Rangers leading the series 2-0, emotions are running high, and if this game is any indication, we can expect more intense, physical play as the series unfolds.
