Patrik Laine was traded to the Montreal Canadiens on Monday, and there are all sorts of reports about his issues with his former teams, the Winnipeg Jets and the Columbus Blue Jackets.

For instance, it was stated that Laine had a big problem with his Blue Jackets teammates, especially in the locker room. In fact, the issues were so bad that Blue Jackets veterans were practically begging for Laine to be traded. Meanwhile, it was also reported that Laine had problems in Winnipeg, particularly with Blake Wheeler and Mark Scheifele.

Now, however, Laine is getting a massive vote of confidence from his former Jets teammate, Mathieu Perreault. While speaking to former Montreal Canadiens players Guillaume Latendresse and Maxime Lapierre, Perreault noted that Laine was a great guy in the locker room.

"Patty (Laine) in the locker room is really a good guy, he's funny, a great teammate!"

This is a huge showing of support, especially given what has most recently been said about Laine. Regardless, it will remain up to the Finnish superstar to determine his next course of action. Habs fans have high expectations, and they want to see him excel. However, if he goes back to his old ways, then he might get run out of town especially fast.
