Tonight was supposed to be special for the Utah Hockey Club as they opened their preseason with a game against the St. Louis Blues.

While down 1-0, Utah HC brought out an extra attacker as the Blues had a delayed penalty coming up. With the goalie out, Milos Keleman went to make a pass back to the blue line, however, he missed it completely. Subsequently, the puck went all the way into the team's own net, making it 2-0 for St. Louis. That's right folks. The Utah Hockey Club's first-ever goal was in its own net.

This is a bad start for the franchise but it is not indicative of what is to come. There are plenty of opportunities now for this team to get better and show people that they are, indeed, competent. However, if you are a fan, this can't help but come across as somewhat worrisome.
