Overall, the Toronto Maple Leafs are a team that could contend for a Stanley Cup this season.

As a result, the vast majority of their roster has already been figured out. The fans, the players, and the coaches already have a good idea of the defensive pairing and the lines. However, the young guys still have an opportunity to come into training camp and really show the coaches and scouts what they can accomplish.
Having said that, the Leafs just made five cuts today and they are made official. You can see which players have been let go, down below.
"F Sam McCue (Owen Sound)
F Maxim Muranov (Calgary)
F Miroslav Holinka (Edmonton)
F Marshall Finnie (Edmonton)
D Nathan Mayes (Spokane)"

Hopefully, these players will have other opportunities in the future. For now, however, they are simply too young to really get things going with the club. Only time will tell if they can develop into NHLers.
