Significant update regarding Auston Matthews status for game five
This morning, there's been a significant update on Auston Matthews health following his departure from Game 4 against the Boston Bruins due to illness. It appears he's edging closer to a comeback.
Reports confirm that Matthews hit the ice for an optional skate at TD Garden this morning ahead of Game 5 tonight.

While it's a positive sign to see Matthews back on the ice, his presence during an optional skate on game day raises eyebrows. Speculation is swirling that he might not suit up for tonight's game.
Auston Matthews made a very brief appearance on the ice at Maple Leafs optional skate then left the ice. Strange.
As of now, there's no official update on Matthews' status. The best-case scenario for the Maple Leafs and their fans is that he feels good enough to play. Otherwise, they might have to face a crucial game without their top star.
