The Tampa Bay Lightning faced another disappointing playoff exit, this time getting swept by their Florida rivals, the Panthers, in just five games.

In the aftermath, the atmosphere in the Lightning's locker room was understandably grim. Head coach Jon Cooper expressed his frustration, particularly with what he perceived as missed calls, notably on goaltender interferences.

"We might has well put skirts on them then... I think we're letting the goalies off the hook."

Jon Cooper went full South Park Sarcastaball. The goalie interference calls are getting out of hand.

The defeat marks a stark contrast to their back-to-back Stanley Cup victories in 2020 and 2021. With an aging core and Steven Stamkos set to hit free agency, the Lightning may need to consider significant changes.

However, amidst the disappointment, Nikita Kucherov's exceptional regular season performance puts him in contention for the league MVP.
