Ryan Reaves humiliated by Toronto Maple Leafs social media team for second-straight game

Reaves is a player who has always proven to be controversial. This has always been the case as it pertains to goons. Having said that, Reaves is getting extra hate lately because he is refusing to fight. He didn't fight with Arber Xhekaj and he didn't fight with Matt Rempe either. This has led to some people believing that Reaves has completely lost all of his grit.

Last night, after a bad first 20 minutes of play from the entire Leafs team, the Leafs social media used a photo of Reaves to announce the score. It is typical for a team to use a picture of a player for these types of graphics. However, it was pointed out that a couple of days earlier, the Leafs used a similar picture of Reaves during an identical scenario.

It comes across as though the Leafs are sneakily trying to deflect blame towards Reaves for all of their problems. However, he is definitely not to blame at this stage. The Leafs can put the blame on their core, which seems to be playing half-heartedly. Not to mention, as some fans have pointed out, the team is top-heavy.

Either way, it does seem like the Leafs do not want Reaves around anymore. Perhaps a trade would just be best for both sides right now. Reaves isn't the tough guy he once was, and the Leafs are not a team that even values having a guy like that around.
