Ilya Samsonov is a goaltender who had a ton of struggles with the Toronto Maple Leafs, especially in the playoffs.

When your goals against average is above 3 and your save percentage is below 90, there is an issue there. Since Samsonov, the Maple Leafs have moved on to goalies like Anthony Stolarz, Joseph Woll, and even Dennis Hildeby. However, Samsonov has remained in the NHL. In fact, this season, he gets to play with the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
Last night, he made his Golden Knights debut and was able to secure an impressive win against the Anaheim Ducks. It was a win where Samsonov allowed just one goal on a total of 22 shots. After the game, Samsonov made some comments that would lead you to believe he is glad to be out of Toronto.
"I think it's the best atmosphere in the league. I'm so happy to be here."

Overall, there is no denying just how amazing the Las Vegas Golden Knights arena is. Ever since coming into the league seen years ago, fans have raved about the team's atmosphere and excited fanbase. Now, it will be interesting to see what Vegas does this year. They always seem to be in the playoff mix, and this season, their team is fairly stacked again. As for the Leafs, the same can be said for them. Perhaps a Stanley Cup Final matchup is in the cards for these two?
